Happy Easter!!!

Ross Bridge put on an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Although Brantley was a bit to young to enjoy this, we were able to get photos with the Easter Bunny and a Build-a-Bunny.

Unlike many of the kids, Brantley had no fears of the big bunny. He also hasn't yet developed stranger anxiety.

This was Brantley's first experience with a holiday-associated anthropomorphic creature, and we look forward to many more to come.

Ginger picks our the outfit for our Build-a-Bunny. We chose a skater costume (needless to say there weren't great choices for non-emasculated bunnies).
Bunny after photo following the stuffing process. While it looks like popcorn in the background, trust me, it does not taste the such.

We sincerely hope everyone has a great Easter, and please remember why we celebrate this remarkable holiday. Please don't let the Cadbury eggs and overabundance of rabbits detract from our Christ's rising from the grave. God Bless and Happy Easter!

Busy Week

Big Dad came by earlier in the week and saw his handsome grandson who is already looking up to him, literally and figuratively.

Then, Brantley's friend, Ryan Madden, from down the street came by to have dinner with us (actually his mother, Ashley, had dinner with us and then he had dinner with her....we clear?)

Brantley has been playing with his mobile lately. He seems to have taken a liking to the zebra.

While tempted with other jungle animals, he continues to focus on the zebra....Daddy was hoping he would quickly develop an affinity for the elephant, but I suppose this will take some effort.

While it may be completely random and uncontrolled arm movements, Brantley seemed to have reached out for the zebra numerous times during pack-n-play safari time.

Lamb chops

During a routine diaper changing, Brantley decided that this changing table was only big enough for one center-of-attention. He decided to take out Lambchops, his musical stuffed companion, a some fierce rooting and suckling attack.

Sunday afternoon

Brantley and Mommy finally made it out to the park at Ross Bridge. It was a beautiful day and there were tons of other kids and proud parents out there as well.

All the exercise and photography completely wore out Daddy and Brantley so they decided to take a lazy Sunday afternoon nap.

Grandparents galore

Nanny and Paw Paw were finally able to make it up see their newest great grandson. They, along with his other two grandmothers, kept Brantley while we went on a date by ourslves. We must admit that while we had a wonderful time with each other, we certainly missed our third member.

On Sunday, Ginger's Dad came up, along with her sister-in-law, Aimee and her son C.J. (Brantley's youngest cousin!). Mr. George doesn't seem to have forgotten how to feed a hungry baby. Aimee is 8 months pregnant herself and will soon add another baby boy, Carter Lewis Chambley, to our family. We can't wait!!!

CJ was so excited to see his new baby cousin, and he wanted to give him a big "welcome to the family kiss."
