Take me out to the ballgame...

Last Friday, the Turner clan decided to attempt the daunting task of going to a sporting event. The Birmingham Barons were at home, and we made it (though it was the 5th inning when we arrived). Brantley did wonderful and slept most of the time in Mommy's Hot Sling, despite the shrieks and screams from surrounding kids in the Family Section. As you can see here, Brantley was either camera shy or playing a precocious game of peek-a-boo.

Family Picnic at Botanical Gardens

Since Daddy had this week off, our family took advantage and went for a picnic at the Botanical Gardens. It was such a beautiful day, and we had a terrific time being with one another. What a blessing!

Another photo of photogenic Mommy and somnolent Brantley.

Daddy reads Brantley one of his first books.

This little piggy went to Wal-Mart

While shopping at Wal-Mart recently, Brantley was taking a siesta in Mommy's Hot Sling. During our tour of the Garden Section, we came across a ceramic piggy in a hammock that displayed an uncanny resemblance to our bundle of joy.

Daddy's Birthday

Daddy had a great birthday spending time with Baby Bear

Play time

Brantley likes looking at his silly Daddy as he makes funny faces.

Brantley holds his lion tightly. The ladies of ADPi would be so proud (or fans of the Detroit NFL football franchise).

Bear looks on puzzled as he contemplates why Mommy is making him sit up at 2 months of age in this blasted Bumpo.

The easter bunny brought Brantley some foot rattles for his highly active feet.

Tho' ya hood up, what! Represent'n the mean streets of Chalybe and the hood of Ross Bridge.

Brantley's First Wedding

Our good friend from Samford, Lauren Shupert (now Espy) was wed last weekend. Ginger and her friend, Emily, dropped Brantley and Daddy off in Valley while they headed to the ATL. This was the first time Mommy and Baby Bear had been apart for more than a few hours. I know Brantley handled it much better than Mommy...partly because all of Brantley's grandmother never put him down.

Baby Bear makes his wedding debut. This was following a whole day and a half of Mommy being gone. Daddy managed to pull him through, with the help of some infatuated grandmamas.

Jen attempts to burp a fussy bear.

Jen, Emily, and Mommy dolled up for the wedding.
